Braxton-Bragg’s Interactive Booth a Hit at Industry Showcase in Austin, Texas
Slippery rock Gazette
Braxton-Bragg hosted an in- teractive booth that included games at this year’s Artisan Group Industry Showcase in Austin, TX.
The booth included a putting contest, a Viper Array Bridge Saw Blade as a dart board, a fish- ing contest pitching a lure into “water,” and a Diamut cutting speed demonstration. Matt Neiger from Lakeside Surfaces won the putting contest.
“This booth was a more fun and creative way to visit with our customers, while displaying products, and the customers re- ally enjoyed it,” said Bill Hickey, Braxton-Bragg VP of Business Development. “We are thankful to Artisan Group for hosting this great event that unites fabricators and suppliers each year.”

Police in Michigan are appeal- ing to people to surrender their instant riches after a box with $30,000 fell off the back of a truck.
Authorities in Grand Haven, MI, say drivers stopped one Thursday to pick up cash for themselves.
Only $2,500 was immediately re- covered and returned to the owner, who had forgotten that a cash box was on the truck’s bumper. Traffic was backed up on U.S. 31 after money hit the ground.
But by that Saturday, more money was trickling in. The Department of Public Safety says two teenagers turned in $630, and a woman gave up nearly $3,900.
The department says on Facebook: “We commend you for your honesty!!”
It is not know how much has been recovered, so far.
The booth included three games of skill as a fun medium to meet one-on-one with customers.
“Keep your face always toward the sunshine — and shadows will fall behind you.”

What can Diamut do for your speed and shop efficiency?
“We were considering hiring more people, but being able to run our Diamut tooling so much faster let us avoid adding a second shift. I also ran the numbers, and figured out that from our original starting point, we were able to run at 132% with Diamut. We were able to hit a speed of 500 inches/minute, a huge leap given that the industry’s average speed for running tooling is about 100 inches/minute. After analyzing the results, I decided that for now our comfort zone is 400 inches/ minute. In addition, Diamut tools are easier to maintain and last longer than any others we have used. Using Diamut has been huge for us.”
– Dave VanTil, production operations manager Premier Granite & Stone (PGS) Grandville, MI
