Sculptor T Barny Exhibits at
Paul Mellon Arts Center
Solo Alumni Show

T Barny, Class of 1975, will be featured at the Paul Mellon Arts Center located at 333 Christian Street, Wallingford, Connecticut with his sculptures on display from April 16 - May 15, 2011.

The exhibition runs through the Alumni Weekend, May 13-15, during which an Artist Reception will be hosted with the California Artist in attendance. T Barny is celebrating 30 years as a Professional Sculptor and will have a collection of his newest work on display throughout the gallery and outdoor corridor.

T Barny's passion is stone. The new sculpture will include stone pieces carved from Utah Calcite, Mexican Fluorite and Belgian Black Marble to name a few. His bronze collection will also be featured as well.

This is an exhibit of sculpture that emphasizes the theme that "stone is universal" and appeals to all as does music and art. "Stone has personality, character, texture and density. Knowing how to work with many types of stone has been a challenge and I've had to draw upon my 30 year carving background to accomplish this type of show," states sculptor T Barny.

T Barny has many fond memories of Choate Rosemary Hall and those days continue to inspire him and his artwork today. His sculpture has gained international recognition and it is an honor for him to exhibit his work at Choate.

T Barny has exhibited in over 300 shows in the past 30 years. His professional sculpting career has spanned decades and his pieces hold prestigious placement in collections internationally. His studio is located in the heart of the California Wine Country.
