International Stoneworks, Houston's premier natural stone restoration and maintenance business, has teamed up with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) as a local industry partner in the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter.
As a local partner, International Stoneworks will be able to provide helpful information to Texas designers such as how home and business owners can care for their natural stone surfaces. International Stoneworks can also guide designers about the characteristics of various natural stones such as marble, granite, limestone, travertine, terrazzo, slate, and flagstone as well as the best application of these stones.
Many home and business owners want the elegant look of a granite countertop, marble shower, or travertine floor, but do not know how to regularly maintain these surfaces. As the new ASID source for stone restoration and maintenance, International Stoneworks can suggest what products (including "green" products) can be used to clean and protect natural stone. International Stoneworks can also suggest which finishes (polished, honed, tumbled, etc.) would best suit the various applications of stones.
Joining the ASID Industry Partnership is mutually beneficial, as interior designers can knowledgeably specify which natural stones, finishes, and trends are most popular amongst today's homeowners and businesses.
