NTCA First Quarter Report
Shows Increasing Strength And
Growing Numbers

The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), has announced major growth for the first quarter of 2010.

In just the first three months of 2010, the NTCA brought its highly regarded educational program to over 1,200 tile installers and contractors across the country, conducting 20 of its traveling educational workshops, with 29 workshops scheduled for the second quarter. The program, sponsored by Daltile, brings information relating to the development of new standards and the demonstration of proper techniques for the successful installation of ceramic tile.

Despite an economically challenged industry, the NTCA welcomed 71 new members compared to just 45 new members at this time last year...up over 63 percent. The NTCA anticipates surpassing last year's membership number of 642 by the end of the second quarter alone.

The NTCA also announced it's in the process of determining the availability of a Sponsored Health Insurance Program for its members. Working with the Spring Consulting Group, the NTCA is gathering data from a random selection of members and hopes to have a final and favorable announcement soon.

Jim Olson, the assistant executive director of the NTCA said, "Our Five Star Contractor program is in full swing. Since it was created in 2008 to recognize established and reputable contractors, the program has inducted 17 active members and we anticipate more eligible contractors to apply and join the program."

NTCA is a non-profit trade association serving every segment of the industry, spearheading education for the professional installation of ceramic tile and allied products.
