The wholly-owned Laticrete Shanghai manufacturing facility, opened in the Spring of 2008, has been certified ISO 14001 for the Laticrete design and implementation of an environmental management system that's been proven to reduce energy costs and wastes while minimizing the facility's negative impact on the environment. The core set of standards and guidelines have evolved slowly since 1972 and the certification is now rewarded based on a comprehensive on-site audit by the International Organization for Standardization.
