Braxton-Bragg Welcomes Jim Brewer to Sales Staff

In their continuing quest to improve customer service, Braxton-Bragg has added Jim Brewer, a former stone fabricator to its sales personnel.

Jim brings many years of stone fabrication and installation experience to his new job, and his clients will greatly benefit from their interaction with him. Ever since he was a teen working with his stepfather, Craig Laxton, to install tile, he has had an interest in working with stone and tile. Brewer and Laxton opened a tile showroom together, and Brewer learned about the stone industry from an employee hired to do installations. Upon doing an immense amount of research, he decided that stone was his real love.

"I prefer natural stone-it's a product of Mother Nature. It's always more attractive, more challenging, (and has) more variables!" Starting small with kitchen and vanity countertops, he branched out into his own company. "I loved working for myself, but the business owned me," Brewer said, referring to the amount of time required to keep his company going. It didn't leave a lot of time for his girlfriend and her daughter, who he treats as his own. When the economy downturned, he decided that it was a good time to step back; in a stroke of serendipity, a visit to Braxton-Bragg connected him to his next career.

"I feel my experience will assist me in helping clients," said Jim. "Now I can help other small businesses just like mine."

"There is so much to learn in this business; while I had my company, I found the Slippery Rock Gazette to be very educational, and Braxton-Bragg provided so much help for the smaller guy!" Braxton-Bragg is pleased to bring Jim Brewer on board, so that he can now offer the same top-quality assistance to his clients that he always received himself.
