Quick DrainTM USA has added another industry first to its quickly growing list, announcing that's its linear slot drain system for showers has become the first product of its kind to be awarded Uniform Plumbing Code listing for the North American MarKetplace from IAPMO Research and Testing, Inc.
IAPMO R&T is a product certification body which tests and inspects samples taken from the supplier's stock or from the market or a combination of both to verify compliance to the requirements of applicable codes and standards. The UPC listing for Quick DrainTM USA, file No. 6181 at www.iapmort.org, denotes compliance with all applicable sections of the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code manual. This recognition has been granted based on the IAPMO R&T laboratory in Ontario, California, is in compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC. IAPMO R&T is ANSI Accredited for product certification, as well as the Standards Council of Canada. Quick DrainTM USA products will bear the UPC or Canada's CUPC certification mark on the face of the flange and the face of the strainer. Quick DrainTM USA's linear channel drain system is manufactured in compliance with ASME A112.18.2-2005/CSA B125.22005.
The Quick DrainTM USA channel drain system, also the first product of its kind to receive PMG listing per ICC-ES, is ideal for showers, deck drains, pool drains, public shower trenches and trough drain applications, all with a visible width of just 1-Ω inches (38mm). All Quick DrainTM USA linear slot drains can be installed over concrete and plywood substrates in compliance with ANSI A118.10.
