LG Hausys surfaces has upgraded its staff at key positions to better service the North American market with dedicated regional support. LG Hausys solid surface and quartz countertop surfaces have increased in market position and the global supplier will open its second U.S. Production facility in 2011.

"By the end of this year, our second plant in Georgia will be fully operational," said Greg Vas Nunes, Executive Vice President. "At that time, LG Hausys will become the only manufacturer to produce both solid surface and quartz countertop surfaces in the United States. In preparation, we've added a number of top professionals to our team to demand and maintain our high levels of customer service." Mike McDonnell, a 30-year industry veteran who was formerly with DuPont Corian, has joined LG Hausys Surfaces as Residential Sales Director for the Northeastern United States and Canada.

"We've also expanded our commercial specification team," added Vas Nunes. "It will be led by Mike Tasch. His staff will increase to 10 professionals, which we believe will be one of the largest teams of its kind within the industry."

Nathan Knowles, the other new Residential Marketing Director, comes to LG Hausys Surfaces from Booz Allen Hamilton's Business Analytics practice, where he focused on finance and strategy. Before that, he worked for General Electric's appliance division in sales and merchandising, focusing on a broad base of national retailers, independent dealers and distributors.

Jim Rogers joins the firm as Residential Marketing Director and will be based at LG Hausys' company headquarters in Atlanta. He most recently served as VP, Sales and Marketing at Innovative Stone. Prior to that, he was Corporate Strategic Account Manager for DuPont Surfaces.

Ferron Dunham, who has been with the firm for a number of years in charge of a myriad of marketing functions, will be relocating from Phoenix to Atlanta, taking over the position of Residential Marketing Manager. His responsibilities will include working directly with Lowes.
